Tithing

So we decided we should start letting the kids earn some consistent allowance...i know , i know it is critical for them to learn to work, but i am the type that just wants to get it done AND the way i want it.. but the other day i was watching nanny 911 with my kids and it was very disturbing what it could do to your children . my kids clean and make there beds and such but it is time to get dirty! so anyway we also wanted them to start paying tithing and getting into the habit... my little Parker was the first to earn some money and was very happy of the idea of paying tithing ...so after i let him buy some pizza at Sams Club we went home with the rest of his money to put in an envelope( iknow you should pay tithing first! and this is why) he FLIPPED out when he saw he had to pay 1 quarter and 2 dimes the world was over! he could not handle it...so i finally sat him down and explained to him how blessed we are to be able to keep 90% of our money and how the lord only wants 10% and showed him how much he had left....he was still not accepting this...i then said to him what would happen if no one paid there tithing and there was not a single church to go to or the yummy snacks to eat at our primary activities....he just sat and thought about that for a while and then i asked him what would we do if we did not have our beautiful temple to go be sealed in? we would not be an eternal family? we then talked about when we went through the temple and how paying tithing is a commandment and how much Jesus loves us. after that he was fine and happy to lick that envelope and write his name on the front ...

What is it about little boys? Their need for hyper active attention, the love of the outdoors, the need to jump in every mud puddle they see, the anticipation of scaring a sibling, cutting things, ripping things, or just being plain cute??? well that is the question for the day..my sweet parker is i will be blunt CRAZY, but yet he has the sweetest personality if it is just me and him..he wanted to cuddle and watch a movie with me last night, so we took some fun pictures. Here they are with some funny faces...i do have to say though that i feel extremely blessed to have a little boy, other wise i would be an emotional wreck:) )) love those girls dont we?)

and i now have an inspiring photographer on my hands...MISS SAMMANTHA ! she goes around taking pics of everyone and loves it ...here are a few of her masterpieces, these are of my new adorable niece Teagan.

she is so cute! sammy has been really enjoying reading too. in school they had to make up a story or poem like thing. she chose to do a book so it was like a dr seuss book and she drew the pics and everything. i wish i could figure out my scanner and show it on here! but any how she had to read it to the class, and she just loved it! she makes me smile! i also wanted to show you this hair do that i did from my friend JENN she does a new hairstyle on her blog every Friday..they are so stinkin cute they do take a few times to master though! it is good i have 3 girls! have a great weekend everyone!

all about, well the kids:)

WAHOO!!! My mudd and taper men have finally arrived today to finish the garage room! they were i guess ill with the flu! i feel bad for them cause my children have all had it along with these horrendous colds and pink eye garbage!! they are continuing passing it around to each other since jan first so i took this whole week off to try to get them better..

so for those of you that dont know we had a room built above our garage, in our garage. it is really high up in there so we put a room in there that connects to the master bathroom, which will be our closet when we have our basement to use....it is sooo fun and a little weird cause it is only 6ft 1. inside the room and 6 ft 4 inch in the garage. parker will be in there along with the computer and some storage.

ooooooooohhhhhhh and some great news as well my brother Micah and his wife Jen live in my basement now and is soooooo much fun! they have lived in the Lehi area for about 4 years and is great to have them back! Jen also watches my kids for now instead of my mom which works out great, although she probably rips her hair out on those days cause she has 2 little ones as well:) but the kids sure love her and are happy to see there cousins too!..I hope they are with us for at least a couple of years? love ya guys!!

Matt has been working a TON of overtime cause JEEP SAFARI is almost here and he has to go sit in a booth with his boss to how you say, PLAY!! LOL ...he is having a great time at his job still and will be there FOREVER!! i love that he is so happy...and he is sooo good at what he does too , he makes some pretty cool jeeps and fab work!

okay so i have to really get on the ball and start blogging! since my over time i have gotten out of the habit and ALL of my kids have been sick since i have been home from the OT!! anyway i also lost my camera so did not have a lot of motivation to post cause i gotta have pics!:) anyway i found my camera at my mother in laws so i just need to go pick it up.... i have soooooo many updates and will need to do them tomorrow but thanks to all you fellow bloggers pushing me to start again!
