AH THE LOVE OF CANDY!

So it was another great day today for us Ballards!
parker of course did not want to go to school but of course went and made his bed so he could get the tootsie roll, and off to school so he could eat it when he got home..
i am tellin you guys it is really a great way to get them to make a bed AND go to school..it works for me and they only get it on school days....
so aubrey sounds like a little boy today poor thing! she had the croup the worst and it is catching up to her. it is really hilarious to hear her laugh or even cry:)
** i need some suggestions on something that might not affect everyone***

aubrey has decided she does not want to poop! she is almost 4 well in feb she will be and has been potty trained since she turned 3 and now she has reverted to diapers... she will go pee in the potty but refuses to poop she says it will hurt and tries to hold it. so like every 3 hours she gets some on her undies! i am sooo sick of rinsing undies in the toilet!! she will finally go like 7 days of trying to hold it screams bloody murder when she finally pushes it out accidentally...i am really scared and sad for her and decided to get an enema last night ............well....... i felt really bad giving it to her but it made those 2 BIG buggers come out but really fast! so i am not sure how i feel about those things so any ideas from you guys would help cause i am NOT going to buy diapers for her again but yet i am soooo sick of buying underwear!
i have tried the eating a TON of fruit, juice and buying the cutest underwear she just cant seem to go!! any ideas let me know.....

Matt is yet again in Moab on a "business trip" LOL...i love that he calls it that when he goes to just have fun...although sometimes he is stuck fixing peoples jeeps and buggies that they built...anyway so i am left alone for the holiday with a house full of sick kids along with myself so we are going to be a lot of lazy people this weekend ! i hope everyone has a happy holiday!!!

update on parker

alright so yesterday was the worst day EVER for kindergarten! Parker cried the whole way there and into the classroom and was still crying after i left, i stayed and watched him in the window for a while and was STILL crying. a couple of little girls started crying cause he was crying and then i left....i was not going to be responsible! LOL....
well they did not call me or anything like they do in church, so that was nice, they must know what they are doing cause when i picked him up he was happy but said he was never going again he wanted to just stay home with me and play with his trucks.
we had like an hour long talk and i can not figure out what is wrong with him.
he has hated playing and getting to know other people ever since his little friend Jaxton moved out of our old circle. i have tried playdates and all.
so i talked to my great sister inlaw and she told me to try to not make a big deal about school or friends and just say it is a part of life and leave it at that,,,,,,yeah right!......so i tried it this morning. woke him up he flipped out when i changed him said he hated me and would not help me make pancakes...i told him i loved him and everyone goes to school, and said it was not a big deal school is school....that was ALL i said and would not acknowledge his complaints....i made pancakes..he ate them...kissed samm off to school( parker said he did not want to walk so i am going to drive him) and then him and aubrey started playing pollys! first of all he NEVER plays with aubrey AND he was in a great mood. i told them they had 5 minutes to play he said K----
(((just to let you know when i was a kid my mom would put a treat on our beds if we made them before we left to school so i have started doing that with mine and it DOES help them get out the door)))
so i went to tell him time to go and he started to cry but i slyly showed him the sucker i was about to leave on his made bed and he instantly got up to get his shoes and got his bag on and said he wanted to walk....well i told him it was too late know but we could walk tomorrow he said okay and hopped in the car and off we went, got to school, out the door and off to class....WOW FOLKS CAN YOU SAY MOOD SWINGS!!!!!!!
anyway he has been in a great mood i only asked him a couple of things about school and friends and left it at that and now we are about to play a game together and write his name:)

I love kindergarten!

WAHOO!! today was parkers first day of school, and can i just say it was completely different than samms first day of kindergarten.
first he would not get out of bed, so i dragged him to the counter, then he would not eat,he kept his head down all morning crying LOUD!
he would not change his clothes i had to pry them off him..then he would not put on his backpack!
i tell ya us mommys must have done something pretty crazy in heaven to put up with days like this:)
so i coaxed him with a juice box to get him to walk to school and of course that worked ! we walked all the way, he jumped onto the playground, lined up when the bell rang and went inside.............WOW that was IT! i could not believe how easy that was...when i went to pick him up he said he had fun but did not want to talk about anything ! OKAY!!
so i took all the kids to the doctor, they all have croup cough got them on meds and got home bathed the kids then parker started all over again with the "I DONT WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL!! CRYING TILL FALL ASLEEP!! HAAAAAA!!!
Good luck tomorrow huh???LOL. (notice parkers eyes are very swollen from crying!)

first day!

well samms first day of school was actually last tuesday, i jut have not gottenaround to posting them. we thought monday was her first day so i goteveryone ready, made samms lunch and walked to school with all my kids. all the names were posted on the door and of course my kids werent...i had just registered them 2 weeks prior, so i just wanted to double check. we went to the front office and found out they put Parker in afternoon kindergarten instead of morning! i was not having that so i had to talk with the principle and he had to check out what happened, then the bell rang for the kids to line up so i said i have to take my first grader to class( haven and aubrey were being crazy! not wanting to stay in the stroller!) so we took samm to class i asked her teacher if samm was suppose to line up outsideor come into the classroom...the teacher proceeded to tell me today was orientation for the kids and we needed to come back at 9:30! i REALLY started sweating! so i went back to the principle he was with someone else, so i just booked it kids crying samm yelling at me, anyway get home call my sister to come over to watch the kids while i take samm , hop in the shower, get out the school called me to say Parker could be in morning( she wanted me to praise her! but hello he was already suppose to be in morning they had switched him! )

anyway so she started on Tuesday LOVES it and has this little friend she walks with.

parker is REALLY into LEGOS he can build some of the coolest things, i will have to take some pics of them.
these are pics of my new backyard! i actually have one now!! wahoo, there is just enough concrete to ride bikes and enough yard to run and lots of room for a garden that is done and it has a few fruit trees. and 2 rows of raspberries! I LOVE IT!!

These are on the 4th of july we like to do a water fight at my inlaws each year, it was pretty funny! Matt totally got his mom soaked! sad huh!!



these are when matt and i took samm and parker to Moab, they had a blast. they did not like going really fast or up REALLY big rocks! it was so much fun to have kids on vacation believe it or not!

walks

so my kids have to do the grueling thing of walking to school! i can not believe how EASY samm had it! she throws a huge fit every time we have "practiced" walking to school. it is not even that far away maybe half a mile, maybe. anyway her and parker almost have it down its the coming home part that is a little tough( and looking both ways before they head into the streets!)
i cant wait till they are finally able to walk together!
those were some of my favorite memories walking or riding my bike with my sisters... and of course being the body guard for my cute little nerdy brothers!
i sure do miss elementary school!
i went to sams club to buy some lunch stuff for samm and i am kinda thinking twice about the whole making lunch every day thing:) i guess i need some major character building experiences here!
so i wonder if they will be okay in school, i wonder if i have taught them enough to stand up for what they believe and i hope they do not knock on someones door when they get lost to call their mom!
my older sister was reminding me of when her and her friend used to get lost and would use other peoples phones! little scary!
i hope i can find my camera charger/transfer cord soon so i can post some pics!

NEW HOME!

wow! there have been soooo many changes in our little lives!
1-my children have learned to play with each other!
2- we have learned to sleep in the same room as 1 big happy family!
3- Haven talks and talks and she has learned to crawl out of her playpin!
4- Parker has decided to start school! wahoo!
5- WE MOVED INTO A HOME!
6-sammy and parker start school in another week!
7- we have a yard to play in and a basement to relax in!

man o man what a fabulous couple of months!
my sister decided not to sell her home because it is too perfect:)
so we decided not to build and get into an existing home in South Jordan. we absolutely LOVE it! the ward is awesome and there are sooo many different ages of children, i actually have babysitters in the ward.
we moved in this last saturday so things are soo new to us..we have LOVED being with my inlaws. we have grown so much closer as a family!
it was really sad to leave(especially now that i have to clean a whole house now!)

samm starts first grade soon and is super excited to eat school lunch, go figure! wasnt that the best thing about school! duh!
and Parker has all of a sudden decided he wants to go sooo bad, he has grown up so much since the move! i am of course so excited to have 2 in school, this will be nice:)
matt has really been enjoying weeding the yard and the garden! you would think he did it a lot as a kid! lol!
i got internet and a phone today so i am happy to beable to blog again! i will put pics up as soon as i can find my camera:)
